Argyris’ most recent feature film, MONDAY, starring Sebastian Stan and Denise Gough, was his first English-language feature. The film premiered at TIFF and the Tribeca Film Festival and was released theatrically by IFC in the United States, with Paramount handling international distribution. His previous feature, SUNTAN, premiered at the International Film Festival Rotterdam and SXSW, won Best Film at the Edinburgh International Film Festival, the Youth Jury Award in Brussels, received a nomination for the European Parliament’s Lux Prize and won seven Hellenic Film Academy Awards, among many other international distinctions.
His second feature film, WASTED YOUTH, opened the 40th International Film Festival Rotterdam before screening at more than 40 festivals worldwide, including Toronto, Karlovy Vary, and BAFICI. His debut feature, BANK BANG, was both a commercial and critical success, earning him the First-Time Director Award from the Hellenic Film Academy.
Argyris is currently in preparation for his next feature film, Oh, How Fun!, starring Charlotte Gainsbourg, Edgar Ramírez, Annabelle Wallis, and an ensemble international cast.
Last, but not least, Argyris has no hobbies whatsoever.
